#11 Creating Career Collaborations

Some philosophical reasoning from a lobby in a small hotel in the picturesque back streets of Place de la Republique in Paris, France. KI Career Service is living and breathing cooperation these days in December. We are visiting Institut Pasteur, Epicentre – Médecins Sans Frontières and presenting at ABG Conference on Researchers without borders #EU4PhD.

In this post we at KI Career Service want to highlight one of the most important aspects in the world of work. We started to google what words describe united work and joint forces the best. We ended up with two; cooperation and collaboration. These are necessary to develop and to move forward as individual and group. Cooperation might be on a more organizational level whilst collaboration is on a more individual and operative level – or is there a difference at all? What do these words mean to you?

During this last year we have expanded our network of collaborations, from Sweden- to Europe to Africa and also from east to west. These collaborations and new networks help us provide a cutting edge career service for the students, PhD students and researchers at Karolinska Institutet. We recommend you to work on your own networks and collaborations – the more the merrier and the stronger and wiser. Right?

During 2018 we hope to strengthen our cooperations and collaborations even further piloting the Career Development Center within Euroaxess. We played with words below – how many more things “embedded” in these concepts can you come up with?
